Plain-language summary — under legal review

This is a plain-language summary of our Terms of Service, meant to orient you. The full legal version is under review and, once published, will prevail over this page. Some formal references (operator details, court of jurisdiction) will be completed before the public launch.

By using Leadsheet.app you accept these Terms. Read them together with the Privacy Policy. In short: your content stays yours, you are responsible for the rights to what you publish, and the service is currently free.

Who we are and eligibility¶

The service is run by an individual in Italy (full identifying details will be stated in the final version). To create an account you must be at least 16 years old. Under-16s can still read public content via links, without an account.

The service¶

Leadsheet.app lets you create, edit, store, organise and — at your choice — share lead sheets in the neumaRk format (.nrk). The service is currently provided free of charge; any future paid features will have separate terms (see Plans).

Your content¶

It stays yours. You keep all rights to the content you create or upload. We claim no ownership.
Technical licence. You grant us a limited licence, only to operate and provide the service (host, store, display, transmit through our providers). For content you choose to make public, the licence also covers making it available through the public catalogue and share links.
Duration. The licence ends a reasonable time after you delete the content or close your account, except routine backups and copies others have already lawfully shared.

Your warranties about rights¶

Before making content public or generating a share link, you warrant that at least one of these is true:

you are the author and rights holder; or
the work is in the public domain wherever it can be accessed; or
the work is under a licence (e.g. Creative Commons) that permits your use, and you comply with it; or
you have obtained the necessary authorisations from the rights holders or collecting societies.

When you publish, the app asks you to declare which of these applies.

Prohibited use¶

You must not: publish protected works without holding the rights; upload unlawful or harmful content; circumvent access controls, scrape at scale or overload the service; misuse share links to distribute infringing material.

Moderation and copyright¶

We may remove or restrict access to content that breaches the Terms or the law, providing a statement of reasons where required (e.g. the EU Digital Services Act). We operate a notice-and-action procedure and may suspend repeat infringers. If you believe content infringes your copyright, write to copyright@leadsheet.app.

Some sharing features embed the content directly in a link (fly link), which can be opened without an account. Once you distribute a fly link, the embedded content can be opened by anyone who holds it. Do not generate links for content you are not entitled to share.

Warranties, liability, termination¶

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of continuous availability, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes the mandatory rights you have as a consumer. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time; we may suspend access for breach or for legal reasons, with notice where possible.

Governing law¶

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rights and the court of your country of residence remain unaffected.
